About Us

Sun Sugar was created to enhance and improve skin by using natural ingredients without unnecessary extra additives or "fluff" ingredients that provided no benefit found in many other skincare brands. We experienced how skincare products geared toward people of color were not only underrepresented in many skincare aisles but offered little to no efficacy in their claims to improve melanin-rich skin. Through our research and customer feedback, we understood that hued skin tones were often presented with challenges such as hyperpigmentation (dark spots), blemishes, uneven skin tone, or scarring. That's why it was important for us to keep things simple yet sweet by selecting choice natural ingredients to protect, heal, and moisturize the skin.  

As a black-owned business, our goal is to help amplify your "glow" by adding the most impactful ingredients to combat varying skin irritants. We understand and have experienced that achieving healthy, clear, smooth skin adds to your glow, but it can also heighten your confidence or your "beam."
